New industrial zone ensures employment and revenue for the population

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the projects of the industrial-service zone “Tarakkiyot” created in Yangi Namangan district.
Technoparks and small industrial zones are being consistently created in our country to ensure entrepreneurs with favorable conditions, diversify the economy and increase employment of the population.
Today 73 industrial zones with the total area of 1,5 thousand hectares operate in Namangan region.
Mahalla Sokhil of Yangi Namangan district is a vivid example. If before, entrepreneurs and artisans worked in limited domestic conditions, then today they conduct activities in a modern complex with the developed infrastructure.
The zone created on an area of 10 hectares based on Gijduvan experience united 113 projects. Electricity grids, water pipe and sewage were developed at the expense of the state budget for their stable work, internal roads were constructed. As a result, production and services were created worth 500 billion soums per year and 4 800 new jobs. 170 entrepreneurs from neighboring mahallas were attracted, production on cooperation basis was organized in over 350 households, which significantly increased the economic activity of the population.
Of particular importance is that here there is an opportunity of retraining the unemployed to modern professions using the equipment and practical fields. This stimulates the reduction of unemployment and poverty, increases the welfare of people.
The Head of State got acquainted with the work of the service centers of maintaining automobiles and spoke with the masters.
- New car plants are opening in the country, the revenues of the population are growing, the number of cars is increasing. But service still doesn’t correspond to this pace. Particularly, maintenance of foreign brands isn’t developed accordingly. If this work is organized systemically, employment can be ensured and the service quality can be increased, - mentioned Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In this regard, instructions were given on organizing such service centers also in other districts, and preparing qualified specialists.
The President also inspected the exhibition of furniture produced in the industrial zone. Necessity was emphasized on supporting entrepreneurs, expanding opportunities for youth in acquiring experience and employment.
At the same time, it was noted that such complexes should apply modern approaches in ensuring labour safety of the workers. It’s necessary to ensure fire and technical safety, and create conditions not only for work but for leisure.
Here, the Head of State was also presented information on major projects in the sphere of urban development and residential construction implemented in Namangan region. These works have an important meaning for creating modern conditions for the life of the population and complex territorial development.
